 Frequently Asked Questions

What is it like to have you as our photographer?
Due to my varied photographic background in fine-art and commercial practices I have a hybrid way of working.

You can expect that for majority of the day I do my best to blend into the background. Occasionally through the day I’ll give a bit of direction however I love capturing everything in a relaxed and unobtrusive manner as the day unfolds. Hopefully it’ll feel as though you have an extra friend hanging out at your wedding or celebration. You and your loved ones are experts at being yourselves and that’s what I want to capture the most.

When we go off to do our portraits I enjoy treating this as an opportunity to be a bit more creative. I want to deliver authentic photographs of you that reflect your personalities and prefer to avoid static prom-like posing. You can count on us primarily going for a wander and I’ll capture you interacting together.

How would you describe your style?
It’s a mainly documentary with a little fine art and a dash of editorial. I love natural light and lean towards making work that’s bright, vibrant, and colourful. I also am inspired by analog photography and love bringing elements of that into my work. I’ll always include a handful of black and white photos too.

We’re nervous about getting our portraits taken, will it be awkward?
Personally I am quite shy in front of the camera so I completely understand, but I do pride myself on making getting your portrait taken as easy and relaxed as possible. I have a few tricks up my sleeve to get authentic and timeless photographs of you and your loved one without needing to forcibly pose you. We will more than likely go for a wander at your chosen location and I’ll snap some photos along the way. Here and there I’ll give a bit of direction but the most important aspect is capturing you and your personality together.

If you’re feeling extra nervous I highly recommend booking a pre-wedding portrait session these sessions are fantastic as we get to know each other better and see how I work. Seeing how you two act around each other is invaluable and ultimately will help to illustrate your love story on day.

How many photos will we get?

Every elopement and wedding is unique, I would rather under promise and over deliver for my couples. Each image is carefully curated to tell your love story. You can expect approximately 400+ lovingly edited photographs for full day coverage (Approx. 10 hour) bookings.

How do you deliver the images?

Upon booking you will receive login details to my client portal which keeps track of all our invoicing, contracts, wedding details, questionnaires, and finally your wedding gallery! I’ll always send a little preview shortly after the wedding so you can keep basking in the excitement. After 6-8 weeks you’ll receive the full gallery and you will be able to download, print, and share with all your friends and family.

Do you have insurance?

Yes, all my gear as well as my business (liability) is insured

Where are you based? And do you travel?

I love travelling! Currently I am based in Glasgow, Scotland but I grew up travelling between Canada and The Netherlands often to visit family so I’m incredibly comfortable travelling varying distances and no where is too far! I have a valid passport and am willing to go just about anywhere for an elopement or wedding. Usually, all travel is covered by my clients (airfare, accommodation, car rentals, etc..) but please inquire about specific costs regarding travel to your desired location.

How do we book you?

Email me or fill out my contact form! From there we will set up either an in person or video call to talk about your wedding, the details, and most importantly to see if we’re a good match! Choosing your wedding photographer is a big investment and I take my job incredibly seriously. Your wedding is just as important to me as it is to you and I do my best to deliver not only great images but the whole experience.

If you decide to go forward with booking, I require a non-refundable deposit to secure the wedding date. I also require my clients to sign a contract outlining copyrights, responsibilities, and payments. All remaining balances will be due one month prior to the wedding day.
