What to Expect
01. Pre-Wedding
Once you have booked and paid your deposit you will be sent several questionnaires about the wedding day. These questionnaires help make sure I get everything right for your wedding and allow me to be hands off on the day!
If you have booked a full-day package you receive a complimentary pre-wedding shoot. This is a great way for me to see how you two interact with each other. It also makes getting photos on your wedding day all the easier as you will already be experts in front of the lens! If you haven’t booked a full-day package you can still book in a pre-wedding shoot as an add on.
Closer to your wedding we will have a check in to go over details and I can answer any last minute questions or concerns you may have. This is typically 1-2 months prior to your wedding date. At this point you can add on a second shooter if you haven’t already or extra hours if needed. All remaining fees for your booking will be due 30 days prior to your wedding day.
02. On the day
Coverage starts when you choose, though if you would like prep photos I recommend starting two hours prior to your ceremony to get the final stages of getting ready. I’ll try to be as discrete as possible blending in the background photographing you and your loved ones throughout the day.
At some point, usually after some group photos, we will wander off to do our portraits. You can expect that we will primarily go for a walk at your chosen location and I’ll snap photos along the way. I tailor your portraits to you and what you’re comfortable with. I may give you a few prompts here and there but most importantly I want to capture you two as you are and your connection. Our portrait session is also a nice moment for you two to have a wee breather before resuming at the party!
If you have booked a full-day package I’ll stick around for the first few dances unless you have added additional hours. I’m always a sucker for a good Ceilidh! I’ll be sure to find you on the dance floor to say our goodbyes before I head off.
03. After the Wedding
I aim to get a preview out to you within a week of your wedding. Approximately 6-8 weeks after your wedding you will receive the remaining files via your personalised client portal. Your gallery will be password protected but can easily be shared with your friends and family so they can also enjoy the photos.
I’m a big advocate for getting photos printed! It’s hard to beat the tactile nature of flipping through a wedding album or a nicely framed photograph. I work with a lovely UK based printing company that delivers eco-friendly books to last a lifetime. I love using my background in graphic design to create an album you can cherish for years to come. You can add a wedding album to your package or you can order one after the wedding.
